Everything began with a meeting and the curiosity to get to know one another: it was Mariano and Mariana themselves who invited me to exhibit some of my works at their place, Baita Gimont, a place that holds a special and magical place in my heart, among the mountains that I decided to call home two years ago.

Here, you can truly breathe in life — a life made of simple things, human relationships, and humanity itself. And it is precisely in this magical place, which turns white in winter, lively and noisy during the day, silent and mysterious at night, that I bring you to discover the works I have created over the past years.

“Birke,” the title of the exhibition, translated from German, means “birch.”

 

Fascinating birch trees grow in these woods, majestic trees that change moods and colors with the seasons.
The rustling of their leaves echoes in the wind.

Silence!
It is the mountain — I see it, I can smell it...
It has just snowed, everything is asleep.
Soft footsteps quiet the mind.
The lungs open, the eyes wander.
The soul finds itself again.

 

These places allow us to rediscover ourselves,
to love ourselves, to grow, and to explore.
They allow for a human rhythm,
a healthy rhythm.
Without the frenzy of tomorrow, which has already slipped away.
One step after another.
